Biography
Tobias Messerschmidt (17.05.1995) is a classical percussion soloist with the main focus on marimba.
His repertoire includes compositions from baroque, romantic and modern music to show the natural, bright, dark and clear sound of his playing.
Tobias Messerschmidt studied with world leading percussion soloists and educators from different countries.
He did his Bachelor studies with Jörg Fabig in Wiesbaden (GER).
Tobias Messerschmidt sharpened his career and studied with the Marimba virtuoso LUDWIG ALBERT and graduated at the Royal Conservatorium in Antwerp with the Master of Arts in Music Degree.
In 2017 he recorded his first marimba CD „Interiorem“ with Aliud Records from Netherlands.
In 2020 he recorded his second Marimba Solo CD "VITA" that shows all possible ranges and colors for marimba Solo.
Concerts and masterclasses were hold all around the globe (for example China, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland).
Since January 2021 Tobias Messerschmidt works as a full-time educator and cinematographer.
